Adyar Theosophical
Society Presidential Election 2014
Not
Being
At
Adyar
Well, it’s much easier
than being a real president
A difficult and challenging job;
You have to take over an organisation of
members, the headquarters of which, has been taken over by a power elite who
certainly don’t want you sticking your nose into their running of the place.
It’s going to be a struggle to get the organisation back under the control of
the members that you represent, and confrontation is unpleasant and difficult.
The situation isn’t new, the so called governing body lost control of the
headquarters years ago and failed to do anything other than wear its knees out
grovelling to the power elite. You cannot therefore expect any help from the
governing body.
Here’s an easier option;
Just don’t be there. Engage in a lot of
international swanning about and give the appearance of being head of the
organisation, while letting the real controllers of the organisation pursue
their own agenda. The power elite will be really pleased with your strategy of
not doing the job, and that’s probably why you got nominated in the first
place. The governing body will be on their knees in gratitude for a quiet life.
What about the members?
Well, you are head of an organisation
that regards its paying members as “BALLAST” and purely as a source of income. Not telling them
anything has been the strategy in the past, with news of things like court
cases by members against the Society and election irregularities being
suppressed, just recently. Of course, one disadvantage of all this
international swanning about is that you will come into contact with members.
But as things are going, with seriously declining membership, the chances of
coming into contact with an Adyar Theosophical Society member is rapidly
diminishing. This trend has been successfully accelerated by the way the ruling
elite and General Council have treated the members.
Ultimately, you won’t have a
headquarters and you won’t have a society – Job Done!

International Election Protocol
This is only an
idea for consideration but if the Theosophical elite
continue to treat
the members with the current levels of indifference and
contempt for the
duration of this election then the Adyar Theosophical
Society will be an empty shell by the time it is completed.
The secrecy with

Is this secrecy
for its own sake or are some serious
